Vienna is the city of the waltz, Mozart and Beethoven, but also of Sigmund Freud, who famously introduced the psychiatrist's couch. So, are you sitting comfortably? Excellent. Now, let me tell me you about our Verint EMEA Partner Summit.
We've spent the past few days with our EMEA partners at our 5th annual Verint EMEA Partner Summit in beautiful Vienna. Our 3-day summit took place at the spectacular Grand Hotel Wien where we welcomed over 100 attendees from partner companies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
We featured a combination of keynotes and breakout sessions focused on customer engagement topics -- including workforce engagement, intelligent self-service, voice of the customer, compliance and fraud -- and cloud strategy.
We shared the virtues of the Verint Partner Programme, including the new Verint Connect which simplifies access to resources and information such as hot fixes, technical documentation and product content. Through Verint Connect, partners and customers have 24/7 access to the latest content. Even better, this updated version of Verint Connect is built in the Verint CommunityTM. Learn more.
I enjoyed delivering a sneak preview of our global research, "Engagement in the always-on era; how humans and technology work hand-in-hand to meet rising expectations." Our research of 34,000 consumers from 18 countries looks at behaviours and expectations of consumers and employees, and highlights the need of a hybrid workforce, where technology and humans work seamlessly together. Watch this space as we'll launch this year's research on Monday, May 20.
We were also delighted to have Ben Page, CEO at Ipsos MORI join us and share his views and research findings on "key trends in the age of anger." Based on Ipsos MORI's research, Ben presented fascinating insights into consumer trends and attitudes toward politics and government, and also toward companies -- both as customers and as employees.
At our Gala Awards Dinner, at the close of the summit, we celebrated our partners' successes across the EMEA region. The evening started with drinks on the rooftop of the Grand Hotel Wien followed by a gala dinner, entertainment and a stunning Viennese Waltz.
During our Annual Partner Summit and awards, we are able to step back and applaud our network of customers and partners for their great work across a wide range of industries, customer engagement environments, and technologies that help them simplify, modernise and automate customer engagement.
In reflecting on the successes of the past year, we handpicked each partner winner based on their expertise, proven track record and focus on customer success.
I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate the following partners for exemplary performance in project wins, consulting, marketing and customer service:
Our partners play an important role in our business, and we are delighted to congratulate this year's partner of the year and rising star recipients, winners and finalists on their great achievements.
I think we can all safely say that we had a great few days in Vienna with our partners. We look forward to working together and delivering another successful year, so we can get together and celebrate again in May 2020.
The challenge for my team is to find another fantastic location. Any suggestions?
